He had a successful&nbsp;career, even&nbsp;after he left the spy thriller.&nbsp;He went on&nbsp;to star&nbsp;in movies&nbsp;like Alfred Hitchcock&#8217;s&nbsp;Marnie&nbsp;(1964),&nbsp;The Hill&nbsp;(1965),&nbsp;Murder on the Orient Express&nbsp;(1974),&nbsp;The Man Who Would Be King&nbsp;(1975),&nbsp;The Wind and the Lion&nbsp;(1975),&nbsp;Time Bandits&nbsp;(1981),&nbsp;Highlander&nbsp;(1986),&nbsp;The Name of the Rose&nbsp;(1986),&nbsp;Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade&nbsp;(1989),&nbsp;The Hunt for Red October&nbsp;(1990),&nbsp;Rising Sun&nbsp;(1993),&nbsp;The Rock&nbsp;(1996),&nbsp;Finding Forrester&nbsp;(2000) and&nbsp;The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen&nbsp;(2003).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>End Of The Road<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003) was his 93rd and last feature film<em>.<\/em>&nbsp;But he declared his retirement in 2006. He has left a void in&nbsp;<em>the film community<\/em>&nbsp;and James Bond fans<em>.<\/em>&nbsp;For few he\u2019d always be the best James Bond who changed the definition of spy thriller in movies .
