But as fate would have it, it gets stolen the very same evening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having gotten no significant assistance from the local police, she manages to meet \u2018Artist\u2019 aka Shashwat Menon (Abhay Deol), who poses as a stark contrast to everything Nirma is. He\u2019s witty, confident, self-aware, but yet nonchalant about it all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A bit amused by Nirma\u2019s personality \u2013 much like all of us \u2013 he decides to help in tracing her lost car, and a classic cat-mouse chase ensues. Through this frantic search, Nirma learns to believe in herself a little more, and face life with hardiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/fandom.yougle.ai\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Chopsticks-Movie-Review-Abhay-Deol.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2536\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fandom.yougle.ai\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Chopsticks-Movie-Review-Abhay-Deol.jpg 600w, https:\/\/fandom.yougle.ai\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Chopsticks-Movie-Review-Abhay-Deol-300x158.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s to Like\/Dislike?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Performances<\/strong> ??<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Vijay Raaz, as the dominating, whacky Faiyaz \u2018Bhai\u2019, does an incredible job at being not only an obstinate gangster but also bringing in effortless comedic moments while at it. He\u2019s convincingly scary, but also has a malleable, soft heart \u2013 as we see at the end of the movie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re also introduced to his beloved goat, Bahubali, whom he committedly trains for a local goat fight. Although gangster roles are not new to Vijay, he somehow manages to do a fantastic job at setting each one apart from the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abhay Deol is charming and endearing, even as a conman \u2013 and I still can\u2019t imagine anyone else fitting into the role as well as he does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plot ?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Admittedly, the film does not have a lot going on. The plot is maybe a little too simplistic, that I\u2019m surprised it translated into becoming a 1 hour and 40 minutes long movie. In terms of the overall plot of the film, it comes off as being bland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe for an audience that has become more than habituated to the incessant \u2018masala\u2019 of Bollywood, a film with a plot and message like this one, can be quickly interpreted as boring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The humor in the movie fails to be adequate and doesn\u2019t actually make you laugh out loud. It will, at best, leave you smirking. There seems to be a certain inexplicable character and depth missing from the film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Opinion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On the whole, although the plot seems to have a few loose ends, the film still gains points for bringing the \u2018feel good\u2019 element. Additionally, the casting seems perfectly fitting.
