One Line Review: ‘James Dean’ remains the only biopic with sharp accuracy and correct portrayal of the character. Marvelous work by James Franco.

Introduction

It’s very tragic how some people left this world so early and so young. James Dean left us at the young age of 24 in 1955. Truly “Too Fast to Live. Too young to die.” Today, the same as the release of his biopic ‘James Dean’, we’re remembering him and his great works. The film ‘James Dean’ was very well received by the audiences and the critic for very obvious reason. Let us check them one by one…

Iconic dialogues from this movie

Rolf Wütherich– “See that piece on you in the LA Times?”

James Franco– “No, why? I get hammered?”

Rolf Wütherich – “Opposite. They said you’re gonna get bigger than Brando and Clift together. Can you believe it?”

James Franco– “I’m playing the drums. Go to hell.”

Michael Moriarty- “That’s a nice car.”

James Franco -“Yeah, it’s aluminum. They only made 30.”

Michael Moriarty– “Must have cost a lot.”

James Franco– “Well, I got a lot.”

Critic Reviews

“For Freaks & Geeks’ James Franco, James Dean is a major breakthrough. He not only looks like him, but his mannerisms and his whole persona are startlingly real. This movie rests on his thin, hunched shoulders, and he carries it off.” Ann Hodges

Plot Summary

James Franco portrayed the roles of James Dean in this biopic. This film put the light on the short but thriving life of legendary actor James Dean and his personal conflicts and issues. His continuous struggle to win over his father’s heart with his success is shown perfectly in this biopic.

James Franco pouring magic in his portrayal of James Dean

As an actor known for his unique way of preparation and dedication for the role, Franco seems to be indistinguishable from his opponents on the screen, so that the next time you watch a James Dean movie, you will be disappointed. The night after I saw James Dean, I watched a TV movie of Dean and I admit that I think James Franco’s portrayal of James Dean is better than James Dean’s portrayal of himself. I don’t have a better compliment or suggestion than urging you to rent or buy. It can be said to be Franco’s best moment, rather than calling it Dean’s best moment.

Watching James Franco perform the hug Scene is one hell of an emotion. You’ll be in awe of his talent. You’ll see him wearing a cowboy hat and arguing with George Stevens at the Giant shoot, and you’ll see another iconic recreation of anointing smiles. You will see him fall in love, make friends, rehearse, throw pits and get emotional. No matter how much you know about James Dean, James Franco helps you understand him a little better.

Co-relation between the character and cast

If you have watched any biopic of your favorite star after his or her death then you’ll know that any biopic of a beloved artist who died before his/her time seems tragic. Both James Dean and Franco have cut their careers short due to quirks in their personal lives. As you will learn while watching this movie, Dean is a very strange person with huge emotional problems. He had severe mood swings, threatened his director with a knife, and refused to act according to studio rules when the actor had to at least pretend to be healthy and obedient. If it hadn’t come to a tragic end so quickly, it’s not hard to imagine that it could go down the path of Paul Mooney. Paul Mooney is another emotional actor who transcends the times and is not limited by Hollywood, in its heyday.

After the release of this film, James Franco made the world within reach, and with this performance won the well-deserved Golden Globe Award. Now, nearly two decades later, his difficult personal life hinders the peak of his career. It is painful to watch this movie. Seeing this talented and talented young man makes you feel honored to be included in the public eye; it is really sad to know that he has become one of the best actors in modern times in his own way.

James Dean Review
James Dean Review

I remember watching ‘Dil Bechara’ and the emotions, which I controlled hardly, in my mind. It was very painful. I could’ve cried If I was alone. Everyone in the room had their eyes wet with tears. I guess not every movie is fun to watch. Rest in peace every soul that left us.
