One Line Review: The same cast, the same story, and the same blunder.
Introduction
The third sequel saw the light of day, in which a stand with kisses plays a major role. But this time he is not actually playing, because he has (apparently) gone a long way from him. The young author Beth Reekles is again behind the model, and Vince Marcello remained the director.
Plot Summary and Analysis
Thematically, this part is essentially almost identical to the other. Elle has to decide which school to go to – whether to choose Harvard and her friend Noah or Berkeley and her best friend Lee. Together, they want to enjoy the best summer in a beach house over the holidays. In addition, Elle and Lee make a list of crazy things they always wanted to do. However, not everything is going according to plan, because Elle has to combine work, friends, and family, which is not easy at allβ¦
Identical as hell
Again, we can watch the same actors as in the previous films. Actress Joey King is still as crazy as Elle, though perhaps more aware. Jacob Elordi as Noah, on the other hand, continues to captivate with his height and appearance, and Joel Courtney as Lee may play even more than before, but everyone would like to have an equally devoted friend, especially in his youth. And actor Taylor Zakhar Perez, who plays Marc, gets a basket again because in the story he is simply completely extra.
The adrenaline experiences that the main characters experience are often presented in a very fast form with many cuts. However, the creators try to make fun at all costs, so some wannabe fun scenes are quite crowded. But for example, a dancing flash mob in a restaurant or a mass swimming in a swimming pool was successful. Hand on heart – who wouldn’t really want to experience this sometimes?
More serious passages, on the other hand, are much slower. Great attention is again paid to the transition to adulthood when one has to cope with the fact that he has to solve a number of common duties. The period of a carefree childhood simply has to end sometimes, no matter how much we don’t like it.
Relationships- The most overused and absurd topic
Relationships are a big topic, after all, viewers in this series are already used to that. They are approached very sensitively, so we can get used to the emotions of almost everyone involved. Although many times these are not emotions one would like to brag about somewhere. Elle loves Noah, but she can’t imagine her life without Lee. And to top it all off, she has to deal with the fact that her father found a new girlfriend after his mother’s death. Although these scenes are very sensitively filmed, you can’t help but notice that there are simply too many of them.
This time, quite a lot of scenes take place outside – in a house on the beach or by the sea. Such an environment full of colors looks really good. And the whole impression is suitably completed by the musical accompaniment, which will appeal especially to the target group.
The whole film is supposed to be a one-holiday ride, during which everyone still enjoys it incredibly, but at the same time, it also solves the sorrows of adolescence. The main characters are constantly rummaging through their personal emotional turmoil, which after a while may stop entertaining the viewer.
Conclusion
Fortunately, the film is not so much enjoyed in all possible clichΓ©s as in the second part, but there are still quite a few. However, if we look at the current film production for teenagers, we can rank Stand with Kisses 3 for the better that has been created recently. This is evidenced, among other things, by the fact that this series has seen its third sequel. On the other hand, it follows that the filmmakers still have a long way to go in this area.
