Review

Finally, something worth our money and time. A DC comic movie that has everything and which isn’t dark, Literally this one isn’t Dark. Like any other DC movie. Gal Gadot is amazing, Chris Pine did an awesome job, combining all things; It was a Wow!

β€œFor nearly two hours of its 151-minute runtime, “Wonder Woman 1984” accomplishes what we look to Hollywood tentpoles to do: It whisks us away from our worries, erasing them with pure escapism.”

~ Peter Debruge, Variety

Plot/Story

Diana Prince was living a low key life in the materialistic 1980s. She did all her heroics under the veil. Everything was going pretty well up until a girl, The Cheetah, with supernatural powers, enters the show and starts doing damage to the beloved mother earth.

So, Diana decides to show her real identity to the world and stop The Cheetah from doing any harm to the world (and by the world, they mean America).

What’s to Like/DisLike?

Performances ?

Let’s talk about acting performances. Gal Gadot was awesome. Same old charm, same old flow, some old class. Gotta have to say, she saved 2020 for me. After all those shitty Bollywood remakes, this film felt like meditation for the eyes.

Writing ?

The writing and storytelling were very good. There’s a flow to the movie, start to finish in no time. 2.5 hours go like minutes. The story becomes more interesting because she loses her power and becomes more fragile and vulnerable. This little twist to the plot brings more thrill and adventure to the overall theme.

Farewell Words

2020 is ending now. I’m not sure whether we’ll see more such good films before the 31st or not. So, now that you have an option to escape from your worries and reality. Go grab it. If you’re an 80s kid, it sure will bring back nostalgia for you. Go, Have fun.
