Summary

Two male children are born in wealthy family. One of the children was thought to be still-born and a sage takes him. The child is placed at the feet of a Shiva deity inside a temple and the child is seen getting back to life.

Murali Krishna is a leader of the Anantapur district and is respected by everyone. He fights evil and is known for making sure that his people lived a good respectful life. Varadarajulu owns and operates a mine which is believed by others to be a copper mine but is actually used to mine uranium. Murali Krishna comes face to face with Varadarajulu and is false accused in a bomb blast, gets arrested.

While the people of Anantpur are in trouble and are tortured by Varadarajuly, Akhanda comes to save them who’s the twin brother of Murali.

Review

Akhanda is basically a mass fest by the Boyapati – Balayya team. Rather than just including punches and flying bullets for the sake of it, Boyapati always makes sure to get high entertainment values to his movies. With Balakrishna on high energy, Boyapati was able to tick all the boxes of entertainment right with Akhanda.

The major success of Akhanda, according to me, is because of Thaman. It felt as if he was possessed while composing the score for Akhanda. He made sure to include electrifying background score for literally each and every scene in the movie. The second half of Akhanda was out of the question because Thaman got his hands on trying literally everything up to his sleeves with the intense Siva sthrothras in the background. He literally made sure to deliver extreme goosebumps with his songs and scores whenever Akhanda appeared on screen.

Action Choreography was brilliant except for some extra toppings added for glorifying the heroic moments, but that’s a given in Boyapati movies. Let it be action, dance, dialogues, emotions… Akhanda is a movie that compromises on nothing. As there is a supernatural touch to the plot, logic too won’t take a serious hit that much.

Conclusion

Akhanda is a full-on treat delivered by Boyapati to Balayya fans.
