What’s it About?

Color Photo is an example of how a simple story can be shot in a fabulous manner if backed up with brilliant dialogues, awesome music, and stellar performances. The movie which is set during the time of 90s is a beautiful romantic drama that has a strong message to share.

“Colour Photo does not just have what a love story needs; it also has everything a good film requires.”

~ The Times Of India

Color photo easily being a movie that can make you go through all kinds of emotions easily deserve a rating of 8.5/10.

Plot/Storyline

The movie revolves around the love story between Jaya Krishna aka Kannayya and Deepthi with a barrier of racism sustaining between their hearts, placed by the so-called society.

Kannaya falls in love with Deepthi but chooses to stay away from her as he thinks that a dark-skinned man like him can never wish for a fair-skinned girl like her. Eventually, Deepthi also falls in love with Kannaya. Kannaya who was facing mockery from the beginning in his college due to his dark complexion now has to deal with more as he is in love with a fair girl.

Upholding the issue of racism like never before, the rest of the story is about what happens to these young lovers and whether they fight it through till the end successfully.

What’s so Good about it?

Color Photo is rich with diverse content to savor. It has comedy, love – obviously, emotions, drama, hard-hitting dialogues, and the bitter reality of society.

There are a lot of metaphorical shots such as when Kannaya compares his love towards Deepthi to a street light that never works and later the street light is seen to light itself up as Deepthi proposes to him.

Also, the instance where Khannaya stands up and addresses loud against the racism prevailing around him during a function in his college, moment not only delivers humor but along with it makes the audience think about his words.

Review

A movie delivered by a team of people who are blessed with wings to dream – that is how I would like to describe Color Photo.

Suhas, an actor whom we had noticed already but in very small roles in a handful of movies have delivered an ever-memorable performance as Jaya Krishna in this movie.

Along with him, Harsha Chemudu who played the role of Khannaya’s friend will be treated as one of the best friendship duo seen in recent times.

Sunil who did the role as Deepthi’s brother came out as a surprise to many as he excelled in every way being cruel onscreen which contrasting with his previous roles.

Khala Bhairava’s score will for sure stay with you for a long time as it is one of the main boost-ups for the whole movie. The makers have succeeded in recreating the 90s vibes in a convincing way.

Verdict

Color Photo is a movie that will never easily make a way out of your heart any time soon after you watch it. More such movies should be made which will give a space for talented artists such as Suhas, Harsha, and Chandini to showcase such amazing performances in the future.

Certain movies are made only for a certain kind of audience but this one is strongly recommended for everyone of all kinds because good content finds a way to your hearts anyway!
