Review

HIT which was released in 2020 and starring Vishwak Sen was one of the best crime investigation thrillers in Telugu. Sailesh announced the expansion of the Hit universe and HIT: The Second Case, as the name implies, is the second part of the franchise.

One of the biggest plus points of the movie is, it never sticks to unnecessary commercial elements and stays close to the plot. Adivi Shesh’s performance as KD was brilliant and he fits so fine to the ‘cool cop’. Meenakshi Choudari as Aarya was beautiful and did justice to her role. Her pairing with Adivi Shesh was something refreshing to watch onscreen.

Even though not as perfect as HIT, HIT 2 has its moments. There is a lot of gore in the movie that makes the plot more interesting, including the crime patterns. Sailesh did a great job of keeping the audience engaged till the end of the movie. The ending punch was a surprise and sets great expectations for the next installment.

Conclusion

HIT: The Second Case is a worthy addition to the HIT franchise and a treat for crime thriller lovers.
