Introduction

Today is the release anniversary of β€œA Wednesday”. This film is so thrilling and gripping that will stick to your couch and watch it till the end. This is our take on the film and its insights.

Plot Summary

A retired police commissioner recalls the most strange and unique case of his life of bomb threat caused by a middle-class urban man who is frustrated by his life and struggles.

Iconic Dialogues from the movie

Aapke ghar mein cockroach aata hai toh aap kya karte hai Rathore Sahab? … aap usko paalte nahi maarte hai

English:

Rathore Sir, what do you do when a cockroach comes into your house? … you don’t nourish him you kill him.

Critic Reviews

β€œIn a way, the film moves a step forward from where Rang De Basanti left. In a similar vein, it articulates the frustration and violence that has become deep-seated in the urban, middle-class psyche.” Namrata Joshi

The portrayal and plot

The different parts of the movie show the sequence of a lot of different characters, which is really cool. The police officer played by Anupam Kher asked the police officer played by Aamir Bashir about his family status and if he would like to find the bomb. The boy replied that he was married to a newborn girl, but that he would find the bomb at all costs. Another, when Naseer remembered the nice young man he met on the train every day, the man who was going to marry someone died the next day in the Mumbai train bombing in 2006. People must understand what happened because of terror.

The characters in the film are clearly portrayed: great and respected police chiefs, ambitious reporters, police officers who take their jobs seriously, ordinary people who feel injured, and many police officers who have sacrificed their lives for the country. This film shows the difference between People’s national pride and enthusiasm for work, without the need for large length and unnecessary melodrama. It is done in a very realistic way.

The acting of Cast

The entire cast is great, from main actors to extras. Naseeruddin Shah does not know how to perform poorly. You don’t have to say much or make weird facial expressions to be convincing. You don’t have to play a great king for your role to be more important than life. Their dialogue is born from the heart. This is another unforgettable performance by Nasser, one of a kind. Anupam Kher is restrained and talented.

The difference between the way she portrays serious and sensitive men and the way she portrays funny and funny people is exciting and incredible. Jimmy Shergill plays an uncompromising, grumpy, angry, disciplined, and serious cop. This role is small but crucial and amazing. The same goes for Amir Bashir. Deepal Shaw is effective.

Iconic Songs from the movie

The film has five songs in total, composed by different musicians and sung by a variety of singers. The most beautiful song according to me is β€œBulle Shah” sung by Tochi Raina.

Lyrics are:
β€œo bulle shah o yaar mere ye duniya puchhe kaun hai tu
koi mere kol jawab nahi das ki main dassa duniya nu
koi mere kol jawab nahi das ki main dassa duniya nu
o bulle shah o yaar mere ye duniya puchhe kaun hai tu
koi mere kol jawab nahi das ki main dassa duniya nu
koi mere kol jawab nahi das ki main dassa duniya nu
o bulle shah o yaar mere ye duniya puchhe kaun hai tu”

Conclusion

I added extra points to the fact that this is a relative movie. Instead of creating the next step of indifference to earn $ 140 million due to multiplexing and widespread release, this movie talks about the helplessness and torture faced by the average person in India. The topic of discussion is real terrorism.
