Introduction

Welcome guys! Today weโ€™re reviewing the truly Iconic movie. The benchmark of Indian Cinema. Weโ€™re celebrating the release of Dil Chahta Hai! This film took the Bollywood to next level. Letโ€™s see what weโ€™ve got…

Iconic dialogues from this movie

Mujhe yakeen hai ki main sirf is liye janma hoon … ki tumse pyar kar sakun … tum sirf is liye, ki ek din meri ban jao.

English:

I am certain that I am only born so that … I can love you … and you so that, one day you can become mine.

Pyar sooch samajh kar nahin kiya jaata … bas ho jaata hai

English:

Love is not done with thought and understanding … it just happens

Plot Summary

Three college graduates reunite to live their college memories again. They get to know about the love life of each other. One is pursuing the unavailable girl, one is simply for a divorced diva and the third one flew all the way to Australia to pursue his dream girl.

The relatable characters and portrayal by the actors

The performances of the three protagonists are very exciting. Everyone adjusted their role to T. Aamir Khan, which was the best as expected. He is too good at comedy scenes, and he is also good at emotional scenes, especially when he crashes on the phone while talking to his father. He is definitely the best person to complete the work with precision and maximum dedication right now.

Saif Ali Khan was a surprise in this movie. This is the best role in his career, and you can’t imagine anyone else playing the role of Samir. His sense of time and facial expressions are very natural, making Samir a very cute character in the movie. The least important role is Samir, but Saif makes it very important. Now is the final winner Akshaye Khanna. The actor is outstanding and very natural in front of the camera, Akshaya played the role of Sid perfectly. His emotions and expressive face said it all. He put on a wonderful performance. Preity’s new look looks great, and the acting is also very good. Sonali Kulkarni was drunk, Dimple Kapadia still looked beautiful and played her role well.

It hailed as a fashionable movie with modern clothes and hairstyles. Although this is true, it was also a very artistic film, never letting go of a beat or an opportunity for depth. An actor once said that the actor should be a person holding a mirror so that the audience can see themselves. I think it is impossible to watch this movie without seeing Akashโ€™s cynicism, Samirโ€™s innocence, and Siddharthaโ€™s willingness to fight for his love. This is not only a must-see for Bollywood fans but also a must-see for desperate romantics and cynics. This will make you think.

The Music taking the film by the storm

Apart from the performance of the actors, the best aspect of Dil Chahta Hai is the music. This was only the beginning of more such commendable works in Bollywood. Of course, I look forward to more such works from the music director Shankar Eshaan Loy. The title song is the best, and it is very suitable for this fashionable movie. Other good songs are “Jaane Kyon“, “Kaise Hai yeh Rut” and “Tanhayee”. The imitation of old Hindi songs by “Woh ladki hai kahan” is just ridiculous. The lyrics provided by the director’s father and veteran Javed Akhtar are simply amazing, and they perfectly mark the story of the film!

Music and song images flow with the atmosphere of the film. The Sydney and Goa scenes were shot very well. There are some moments of relaxation in the first half of the film. The second half was filled with excitement, although the AamirPreity incident was stretched a lot, which made the movie a bit long. But one thing is certain, Bollywood has a more talented director Farhan Akhtar.
