What’s it About?
On this day, fantastic four made their way out to the theatres. This is another comic book-inspired film from the production house of the Marvel comic universe. Before Chris Evans was famous for his captain America role, he played human Torch in Fantastic Four.
The film was made for a younger audience (mainly for the 7 to 15-year-old age group) because it was only to them this film would make sense. Like X-Men, the studio was already having success reports about the concept from the comic book stores. Fantastic four was selling like crazy that time.
Our review for Fantastic 4 is 8/10.
After its Release
After fantastic four made its first appearance in the theatre, it created a viral height for itself. Thank that hype the film became so much success at the box office. But the film was not very well received by the critics. On the one hand, the film was catching out money (earnest money), and the theatre remained housefull throughout the day. On the other hand, critics and film experts tried hard to smash the film After reading its review. People who went to see the movie were surprised because the film was not bad at all.
Even today, if you search fantastic four on Google, you will see some lousy rating below the post picture. The most Googled question about fantastic four is “is fantastic four bad?.”
This is turning off the new audience of the movie, which didn’t get the chance to see it, which are new to the sci-fi genre want to explore something new.
However, the bad reviews and ratings did not affect the sale of Fantastic Four comic books. The sale was consistent before the release, and it remained the same after the release. Surprisingly, the bad reviews have not affected even the movie itself. People were still going in to see it. Salt to the wound is they even bought the action figures of the heroes. I can say this time the critic failed. Miserably
Plot Summary
Four Astronauts go to space to encounter a storm that created the universe. But, the battery comes before the expected time, and all four astronauts get trapped in it. After the showers cool down, they find that they are not normal human beings anymore. Storms escalate their capabilities to a super-human level. They can perform humanly impossible things. They use their capacity to save humanity from trouble until they encounter their common enemy.
Trivia: The original Fantastic Four (2005) was recreated by the studio in 2015. The film, however, did not excite the audience, and it failed.
Story
If not the greatest, the story is good enough to grab the audience by their waist and make them stick to their seat to find out what is going to happen next. I don’t know what critics were thinking while watching the movie or what kind of weed they were high on. I don’t understand why there was so much hatred for this movie. They only like the film, which is tedious, and still manages to win the Oscar for no reason. Maybe they had a better story in their mind that they tripped over by watching the film. In the list of all these maybes, I can say one thing with utmost certainty: critics were not in their right state of mind. Their job is to review the movie, not doing its autopsy.
Acting Performances
I am pretty happy with the acting of the costβno complaints about it. I love the silent nature of Jessica Alba in the movie. Chris Evans was all over in the movie. However, the Chris Evans you see in The Avenger is different from the one you will see in Fantastic Four. In this film, he is an enthusiastic bloke who does not care what is happening outside. He lives and enjoys his own company and some ladies also. Chris Evans in Avenger is a dad character who is disciplined and strict.
Conclusion
I don’t know what was bad in this movie that they had to make a shitty remake of it again. Seriously, I hate the 2015 version. Everybody hates the 2015 version. Honestly, you can make a fire, a rock, a transparent glass, and a piece of rubber band and make a better movie from them than the 2015 version. If you guys know, then please tell me what was actually wrong with the 2005 version. I will wait for it.
