Introduction

My Name is a crime-action television series directed by Kim Jin-min that stars Ahn Bo-Hyun, Han So-hee, Yull Jang, and Kim Sang-ho, among other actors and actresses, in the lead roles.

Plot Summary

Following the murder of her father, a vengeance-seeking woman places her faith in a powerful crime boss β€” and eventually joins the police force under his supervision.

Shooting straight to the point

My Name doesn’t waste any time in drawing you into a story that is both well-paced and superbly performed by its cast. Okay, before I go too far into it without providing context, let me say that the series, which consists of 8 episodes, is rife with techno beats and the brilliant Han is a main character. So-hee is acting like a total badass. Since her gangster father’s disappearance, her life has become increasingly difficult, with her being bullied on a regular basis at school. What happens, however, if he is assassinated?

She, of course, teams up with a crime boss and the police in order to exact vengeance on the perpetrators.

My Name is a rollercoaster ride that will take your breath away. The episodes are exciting, grungy, and feature a narrative style that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Due to the fact that it is a revenge thriller, you can expect all of the usual tropes that come with a story of this nature. Despite the tropes, however, the series never feels stale or monotonous to watch. If anything, the creators have done an excellent job of molding these tropes to fit a storyline that will have you eagerly anticipating the next episode as soon as the previous one concludes.

Flavors of different emotions

It’s not just the suspenseful aspects of it that appeal to me. My Name is always in a state of intense emotional turmoil. This story is given the much-needed ammunition and reason by Ji-obvious woo’s sadness and heartbreak, as well as by the emotional upheavals that she goes through before and after her father’s death.

It is Ji-determination woo’s that we see throughout the film, even in scenes that are difficult to watch but are necessary for Ji-woo to mature. It’s the gym scenes that are the most heartbreaking because Ji-woo is on the outside looking in, because she’s a woman in a male-dominated world. She is insulted and sexually abused, but she rises from the ashes like a phoenix to face the world.

Her development can be attributed to Park Hee-soon, who is equal parts sinister and nurturing to Ji-woo, who was orphaned when she was young. As part of yet another gruesome scene in a cage where the recruits are pitted against one another, Ji-woo, despite the fact that she is the youngest, manages to hold on to her own. It’s gruesome, it’s horrifying, and it’s an excellent film to watch in general. The violence can be overwhelming for some, and you may feel a little queasy at times, but there will never be a moment when you don’t root for Ji-woo.

My Name, on the other hand, appears to be absolutely magnificent. Exceptional cinematography is used throughout the film, with dark reds, oranges, and shadows bathing the scenes. It looks absolutely stunning, and it only adds to the suspense and excitement of this revenge story as you watch it unfold.

Han So-hee, who was so different from the other characters in Nevertheless, is an absolute badass in this film. She is a cannon, ready to be unleashed in order to avenge her father and alleviate her guilt. A vulnerable, scared, and heartbroken person lies beneath all of her rage, and this is what makes her so dangerous. Han So-hee is able to convey all of these emotions with ease. The pain of losing her father, as well as her determination to assassinate the man who murdered him, are visible on her face and in every action she takes.

The action sequences, on the other hand, are absolutely stunning and realistic. Throughout the episode, it does not appear that So-hee is beating people to a pulp. It’s so incredibly exciting to watch that it’s a delightful experience in itself!

Conclusion

MY NAME REVIEW
MY NAME REVIEW

This is a terrifying film to watch, which is fortunate because it is both horrific and painfully close to home. Blood and violence should be avoided if you are easily disgusted by such things. This one is a must-see for everyone else. It’s a classic.
