Shahrukh Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in New Delhi. He has always been an inspiration to all the newcomers who want to make it big in Bollywood. He started his career on television and made his way up to the silver screen and has been ruling it for almost 30 years.
The Beginning
SRK made his television debut with a series named Fauji. Where he played the leading role of Abhimanyu Rai. His good performance led him to star in other TV series like Circus, Idiot, Umeed, and Wagle ki Duniya. While the critics applauded his performance SRK always thought of himself as an average actor. Maybe that’s what led him to chase perfection which led to some beautiful performances.
The Transition
He moved to Mumbai from Delhi and made his debut on the silver screen with the movie called Deewana co-starring Rishi Kapoor. He has arrived in Bollywood but he had to make his mark as an actor. Which he did with two movies released in the same year, 1993 Baazigar and Darr. In both movies, he played a negative role. His performance in Darr was so good that people still remember it and say ki..ki..Kiran.
DDLJ
While he has starred in romantic movies previously it was “Dilwale Dulhaniya le Jayenge” made him the king of romance or King Khan. He became a favorite of every girl after this movie. He also starred in the action movie Karan Arjun the same year, which proved he can do other genre films too.
Awards and Redchillies
It would take a lot of time if I start mentioning his every award because he has won more than 200. He won his first Filmfare with his performance in Baazigar in the Best Actor in the leading role category.
Shahrukh formed his own production house and produced his first movie in which he also starred in called “Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani”. It didn’t do well at the box office but this didn’t stop him from producing more movies. His first hit from his production house was the 3rd film called Chalte Chalte starring him and Rani Mukerji.
Upcoming Projects
According to The Times Of India SRK has signed two major movies, one of Rajkumar Hirani and another of Raj and Krishna DK. Hirani is making an Immigration comedy movie with him. It would be interesting to watch what Hirani-SRK bring on-screen for their audience.
Raj & DK are making an action thriller with him. It has been quite some time since we watched him in an action movie. All his fans are waiting for him to watch him tell beautiful stories again since they saw him in Zero(2019) last time.
Shahrukh is Everyone’s Favorite
Whether it’s his co-stars or his fans all you’ll hear is good things about him. Shahrukh Khan has become the face of Bollywood in India and overseas. I wasn’t surprised when I heard he is the second richest actor in the world.
He is the perfect example for everyone who dreams to appear on the silver screen someday. He has and will always surprise us with his performance and movies. I am glad I was lucky enough to watch him on screen and make me go through a bunch of emotions and wonder how does he do that.
