Introduction

Lage Raho Munna Bhai is the second entry in the Munna Bhai series. It continues the comic legacy of the series and raises the bar to a new level. Today on the release anniversary of the film, weโ€™ve decided to create a special review to celebrate it.ย

Plot Summary

Murli Prasad Aka Munna goes into a total thought provocation when He meets Gandhi. He talks to him and knows about his learnings of Truth and Non-violence. He tries to implement them into his life which is filled with violence, blood, and wrath.

Sanjay and Vidya

Sanjay Dutt is as perfect as Munnabhai … I can’t imagine anyone else playing this role. Munnabhai is said to have been originally provided to Shahrukh Khan, and I like King Khan, I think he will play this role too much. Sanju baba’s acting is full of faith, and I think his true character and honesty run through the entire movie. Easily handle comedy scenes and emotions …So natural. A good relationship with the character of Bapu. Arshad Warsi aka Sarkeshwar aka Circuit is great too. The chemistry with Sanju is very good, and there are some good sequences. Since she appeared on Tere Mere Sapne, I have kinda liked him and gradually became a big fan. Vidya Balan is bright and lively … a Beautiful smile! The only disappointment is that Boman Irani’s influence is not as good as his influence on Dr. Astana, but he still performs well. Although he can be considered the villain of the play, he makes the audience like him and sympathize with him.

The side of Munna Bhai no one talked about

Murli Prasad Sharma, who calls himself a professor, turned “Gandhivad” into “Gandhigiri” for practical implementation today, and it doesn’t sound like a lecture or a chore. There are similar “turning faces”, someone beats you, confessing the truth, and “satyagraha” of a group of old people who have lost their homes. The manipulated and greedy Lucky Singh called “the second game”. Our country has won freedom but lost its people. This is sad but true. Murli tries to restore faith, courage, truth, and justice among people from all walks of life. With his newly discovered ideology or the chemical “loach” in his brain, he defeated cynics or lost souls and won the love of his life. An interesting observation can be made between Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra’s “Rang De Basanti” and Rajkumar Hirani’s “Lage Raho Munna Bhai”. Although the themes of the two films are more or less the same, the conflict resolution methods are completely opposite. It’s like the two ends of the same line. However, both films succeeded in their own way and deliberated on the depth of human emotions and reactions.

The iconic song from the movie

Music is not the benchmark of this movie. It is only known for its unique and binding story but songs are an important part of Bollywood, arenโ€™t they? Pal Pal Har Pal is the song that comes first to my mind when I think about Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

The lyrics go like this:

โ€œpal pal pal pal har pal har pal
kaise katega pal har pal har pal
pal pal pal pal har pal har pal
kaise katega pal har pal har pal
dil dil dil dil me machi hain machi
machi hain hulchul hulchul hulchul
kaise katega pal har pal har palโ€

Also, Bande Me Tha Dum is another song (Letโ€™s just call it a song) that is a trademark of Lage Raho Munna Bhai. It gives independence and Gandhi’s Vibes.

Conclusion:

Finally, I would like to thank Vidhu Vinod Chopra for the film he made as a sane animator and managed to convey a heartfelt message in an era when the film was made only to satisfy the whims and fantasies of selfish filmmakers.
