One Line Review: Breakthrough in the zombie niche.

Introduction
When the first season premiered, Black Summer proved to have what it takes to make a name for itself among so many other zombie series and movies. Produced by The Asylum, and acting as a prequel to Z Nation, it now returns with a second season that maintains the essence very well. With stories and scenarios different from what we saw in its first eight chapters, yes; but with the same style.
Plot Summary
Winter is coming to the zombie apocalypse, with cruel new challenges. Frantic scavengers and violent militias fight the dead and desperate.
The good and bad
The second season of Black Summer, starts off quite well, frantic and with a lot of action, although hardly any dialogue; which does not imply a lack of understanding of the argument, everything is said. From the first minutes they put us on notice, and we can see that the living is not going to have it easy this time either. And showing the different approaches and situations, many of them with jumps in time to clarify what happened on the skin of the different characters helps to better understand the background of their stories, and what leads to the final result.
The intense persecutions, which are just as stressful, are very well maintained, although the opportunism of certain scenes also returns; that which appears to be strategically placed on a stage in such a way that it helps the subject to escape more easily. On the other hand, they delve deeper into the motivations of some of the protagonists, allowing a better understanding of each point of view; while observing how each subject adapts in this situation, after time after its origin.
Conclusion
The second season of Black Summer maintains the essence that we saw in the first, with old familiar faces and new ones to discover, in a very different environment. Its different approaches and time jump help to see the different perspectives of the characters and better understand the plot and the path it takes. It suffers from certain narrative ups and downs, and although it begins intense and frantic, after a few chapters the emotion descends, to give way to an excess of dialogue; which is arranged very correctly at the end of the season. Despite everything, the series maintains its focus and continues to make a niche among other highlights of the zombie genre, one of the best.
