Introduction

Heist stories are amazing, aren’t they? Films like Italian Job, The Usual Suspects, and the series Money Heist are prime examples of the fact. Netflix released another heist series, The Great Heist. But the question is, was it really required?

Plot Summary

A team makes a plan to rob $30 million from the bank of Columbia, leaving the country in shock with their precise planning and execution.

Boring and dull starting

The first episode was full of clichΓ©s (corrupt officials, desperate protagonists, angry teenage daughters, etc.), and apart from poor acting skills, it failed to convince me to spend more time on it. I like this kind of miniseries that are tough, realistic, and great acting, but that’s not the case. This may not be the worst thing you have ever seen, but it definitely doesn’t work for me. They managed to make a movie with a seemingly good budget, possibly a very good plot, and incredible actors, but it turned into a poorly written piece of rubbish, not worth their 5 minutes. I tried it, I really did it, and I saw it all. The lines seem to be very tense. Everything has a lot of clichΓ©s. These clichΓ©s are poorly executed and have poor taste.

Poor Acting

The acting of the cast could have saved the series from being a disaster but unfortunately enough the actors blew up. It was really tiring to watch an already dull story with poor acting and expressionless faces. How they got away with all the cliches is really beyond me.

The story resembles with Money Heist

There is no denying that the story of this series takes a lot from the already successful and thriving series, Money Heist. The only difference between both is the location and names of the characters. Otherwise, there isn’t anything new to pull us into binge-watching it.

Conclusion

If you give me a choice to watch this or money heist again, I’m picking the latter. Ain’t gonna spoil my aura for a crappy xerox of a GOAT.
