Review

As far as YRF Spy Universe goes, there is only so much the team can think about. And when it comes to the Tiger franchise, things will either go wrong with Tiger, Zoya, or both!

Though the story was decent, it lacked soul. Even though a remake, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ had that soul, or what we could call a ‘freshness’. Going a step back and analyzing ‘Pathaan’, the predecessor of Tiger 3, John was a major savior of that tale, being a super-solid villain. That is exactly what Tiger 3 lacked. Emraan Hashmi was nowhere near what a strong antagonist should have been. The poor characterization given to Emraan’s character by the writers made the script swoop down without making things challenging for the protagonist.

Nowhere in the movie will you will find an element of surprise. You know what’s gonna happen the next second onscreen and that’s exactly what happens every time. What is the point in watching a movie when you already know what’s gonna happen? Even the super-expected cameo couldn’t save the movie and it only made things look worse. Thanks to the post-credit scene which was kind of interesting and gave us a glimpse of what’s coming ahead. (You guessed it right, whether or not you like it, the so called YRF spy universe will keep expanding!)

The Tiger franchise always had good songs, at least to keep people entertained every now and then, and that was again missing in Tiger 3. Forget about good songs; misplaced songs were a big frown in this movie. Both Salman Khan and Katrina looked dapper together onscreen throughout the movie, which was a good thing. And for the same reason, it could be forgiven that they added a totally unwanted song by the end of the movie. At least we got to witness a sizzling hot Kat after quite a break on the big screen!

Conclusion

An avoidable watch. But if you are so in love with guns firing and bombs exploding in a land where the concepts of physics are cruelly ignored, go for it!
