There are some actors in Hollywood whose talent not only stops at acting but goes on further and further. And everyone would agree that Will Smith is one of those gems.

Will Smith’s overwhelming talent made his fame beyond the limits of his imagination and enabled him to become one of the most influential Hollywood stars ever.

The artist born on September 25 of 1968 in Philadelphia is considered one of the most important stars in the world, and today we are here listing his top 10 movies that prove what a great actor he is.

Men in Black (1997)

Genres: Action, Adventure, Comedy

At no. 1 we have ‘Men In Black’, the most loved movie of all time. The movie is about two top-secret agents who are hired by an unofficial government agency on a mission to keep tabs on immigrant space aliens.

It is a work of fiction but thanks to a well-done script, overwhelming set pieces, and compelling performances from Smith and Jones, this film is certainly one of the supreme summer blockbusters.

Enemy of the state (1998)

Genres: Action, Thriller

Enemy of the state-directed by Tony Scott combines non-stop action with technical thrills making it a fun action thriller that will charm both an intellectual viewer as well as an average, fun-seeking viewer.

The story is about Robert Clayton Dean (Will Smith), a labor lawyer and dedicated family man who is wrongly plotted for a murder.

As the story moves forward we see how with the help of ex-intelligence agent Edward “Brill” Lyle (Gene Hackman), Dean tries to prove his innocence.

I Am Legend (2007)

Genres: Action, Adventure, Drama

Stuck in a plague situation after a biological war, Robert Neville played by Will Smith is the last healthy human living on Earth, but he is not alone.

The fear of death constantly lingering on his shoulders and the sense of loneliness making it tough for him to pass the seconds, the hope of survival is the only thing keeping him for a run of his life. So if you’re looking for a sci-fi thriller with good action, I highly recommend this!!

The Pursuit of Happiness (2006)

Genres: Biography, Drama

The Pursuit of Happiness is a movie based on the life of millionaire Christopher Gardner. This movie shows the struggles that Chris Gardner faces while trying to create a better life for himself and his son.

An inspirational and emotionally wrenching story with the power of taking its viewers into a rollercoaster ride full of themes of survival, determination, and the will of never giving up on your dreams.

This movie is my favorite of all the above movies.

I, Robot (2004)

Genres: Action, Drama, Sci-fi

I, Robot, as the name suggests, is a sci-fi movie and is about a detective Del Spooner (Will Smith) who is on a mission against a human-like robot who he believes has killed the U.S. Robotics founder Alfred Lanning. The movie contains every aspect that one wants in a film. Superstar Will Smith is again at his best, as detective Spooner. The movie includes well-placed action sequences and groundbreaking computer animation. It is one of the great performances of Will Smith’s career

Ali (2001)

Genres: Biography, Drama, Sport

The film is simply a biography of sports legend Muhammad Ali, played by Will Smith, focusing on his triumphs and controversies between 1964 and 1974.

The movie didn’t do well in the box-office but the audience was of the strong review that Smith did a very good job in the role and the problem with the movie was not him. If you are a boxing fan, I would recommend you to watch this movie.

Independence Day (1996)

Genres: Action, Adventure, Sci-fi

Independence Day is a 1996 science fiction film about a hostile alien invasion of Earth on the 4th of July-the the same date as the Independence Day holiday in the United States.

As the movie unfolds we see how a not likely group of people united by destiny are the only ones that can save everyone from this turmoil.

It was directed by Roland Emmerich, who co-wrote the script with producer Dean Devlin and the movie is filled with adventure and action and makes a perfect watch for the family time.

Men In Black 3 (2012)

Genres: Action, Adventure, Comedy

It is the third installment in the Men in Black film series. Men in Black 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back…in time.

This movie shows our favorite agents K and J heading off to a distant planet with the help of a special MIB secure space rocket, to negotiate with a group of space terrorists who are all set on destroying the world.

However, when they get to the planet it turns out things are not what they originally thought. The film retains the same look and feels of the predecessor films and it can indeed ensure you an entertaining experience.

Six Degrees Of Separation (1993)

Genres: Comedy, Drama, Mystery

Six Degrees of Separation is a 1993 American comedy-drama film directed by Fred Schepisi that interweaves the themes of human life and relationships against the backdrop of the post-modern temper.

At first, the film appears to be a pop-culture mystery when compassionate Manhattan art dealers Stockard Channing and Donald Sutherland take in a young man (Will Smith) who has been stabbed in Central Park, their world turns amusingly upside down.

As the film develops, Paul has a profound effect on the many individuals he encounters, linking them in their shared experience. Six Degrees of Separation went a long way from transforming Will Smith from a TV star and rapper into one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.

Concussion (2015)

Genres: Biography, Drama, Sport

Concussion by Jeanne Marie Laskas follows the journey of a Dr. Bennet Omalu (Will Smith) as he carries on the research that threatens to completely dismantle the American institution of the National Football League along with causing dramatic changes in the field of sports medicine and professional athletics.

The movie can guarantee you crime, a thriller with a touch of sports and drama. The movie raises awareness and will appeal to people who enjoy true, moving, and documentary-style movies.

Conclusion

After reliving his journey no one can disagree with Newsweek who has called him “the most powerful actor in Hollywood”. The man’s acting skills and strong personality had made him come this far and gain this much love from the audience. Concussion star Will Smith has a dramatic range that often goes underappreciated but that doesn’t change the fact of how great an actor he is and will always remain.
