Summary

Pallavi, Zareena and Divya are friends and roommates. The trio while travelling in a cab one night gets stuck on the way as the vehicle gets repaired. As they find the driver’s intention suspicious and feel deserted, tries to book another cab but fails. Coincidentally, Pallavi’s friend Vishwa and his friends pass by in a car and the girls go along with them feeling safe. Moments later, things go wrong as the boys try to molest the girls and Pallavi hits one of the boys with a bottle and flees.

Things get dirtier as Viswa and his friends start taking revenge on the girls by defaming them and even by molesting one of the girls sexually. Satyadev, a lawyer, comes to the rescue of the girls and the rest of the story is about the whereabouts of Satyadev and how the case goes in the court with Satyadev aka Vakeel Saab on the girl’s side.

Review

To be honest, I might have considered giving this movie some 7 stars out of 10 if it wasn’t a remake of Pink coz commercially, the movie is fine. But while watching the movie, I did have this fact inside my head, that I’m watching the remake of Pink, A classic I loved a lot where the story was the hero and Big-B delivered a stunning performance.

But here, I would say that Vakeel Saab is a great example on how to ruin a brilliant movie. When Pawan Kalyan kept scoring with his fights and dialogues, it was the story that got compromised. Whatever made Pink special wasn’t there in Vakeel Saab. To witness the flashback of Satyadev tested my patience and the unnecessary fight sequences throughout the movie were just cringe!

I was taken aback completely as the makers even modified the climax which was the best part of the whole story. Altogether, Vakeel Saab was an out-and-out Pawan Kalyan show with dialogues referring to his political entry.

Verdict

Better go for Pink if you are not a fan of Pavan Kalyan or Bad remakes.

Conclusion

Vakeel Saab is more about kicks, punches and dialogues than performances and the storyline.
